When You Arrive
Once inside, you will be welcomed by our greeters who will direct you to the sanctuary as well as answer any questions you may have. In addition, they would be glad to arrange a brief tour of our facilities or a visit to any children or youth ministry classrooms that are of particular interest to you or your family. There are two entrances to the church, Burke Avenue (front) and Gunhill Road (rear), we recommend, if you travel by car, using the Burke Avenue entrance as that entrance facilitates better navigation for parking.

This level houses the Sanctuary, Church Office, Board Room, Mothers' Rooms, Coat Rack and Restrooms. On the lower level is the Fellowship Hall ( as you might guess the Fellowship Hall is where we have wonderful times eating, meeting new friends and enjoying good fellowship), Kitchen (we have some great meals prepared here), numerous Classrooms for our children, our Choir Rooms and Restrooms.
During Each Morning Service
At Victory we offer various opportunities for you to worship. Our Sabbath School programs for children of all ages, along with our Adult Sabbath School fellowship classes begin at 9:15 AM. on Saturday mornings. Our main worship service begins at 11:00 AM. You’ll hear both current and traditional hymns, choir numbers as well as other special musical presentations. In all of our worship services, our main focus is that you would come in and be a part of worshiping God, singing as a audience of one. On Sabbath (Saturday) our early morning Power Hour (prayer sessions) begins at 8:30 am; and always includes a special time of sharing experiences, spiritual challenges and prayer requests. We conclude by 9:15 am with special prayer for all prayer requests brought. A warm, heartfelt welcome is always extended to visitors to share in this moment.
Sabbath School (first corporate service for the day) starts at 9:15 AM immediately after our Power Hour. Adults and Young Adults meet in the main sanctuary; while our other youth and children meet on the lower level in classrooms for their Sabbath School. This service begins with songs of praise, Scripture text, prayer, report of activities in other mission fields, special musical presentations from our various wonderful singers, a review of the weeks Bible theme. This is a great time, as everyone meet in small groups to share ideas, ask questions, participate in great discussions and experience the joy of been enlightened by God's words straight from the Bible. We close this session with other wonderful special music presentations, mission emphases and announcements.
Our Major Worship Services
Our traditional main worship service begins each Saturday promptly at 11:00 AM, preceded by corporate announcements that can be found in the program bulletin provided each Sabbath (Saturday). The worship format begins with an energized pastoral welcome. We won’t put you on the spot or call you to the front. We just ask that you fill out our “visitor’s card” and place it in the offering plate as it is passed, or take it to the welcome center after the service. This will help us keep a record of your visit with us. Please let us know if you wish to have an in-home visit from one of our pastors. This is followed by praise and worship, song of worship commencement, Scripture reading, corporate prayer, special songs, tithe and offerings, children story, special song, sermon and closing exercises. Each service is a unique experience and special services like Easter, Youth Services, Christmas and other special days are occasions never to be missed. You can find about some of these special services at our Services page. You are invited to meet the pastors in the foyer after the service and get to know other members and visitors. You are also invited to join us in fellows at our scrumptious after service fellowship-luncheons in our Fellowship Hall.
Saturday Evening Services ( (y t
At 4 PM ( 6 PM during the Summer) every Saturday afternoon our Youth Service - Adventist Youth Service (AYS) - are conducted by the youth. At this time the word of God is animated by our youth through music, drama and other exciting spirit-filled activities.
We offer a mid-week service called Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting every Wednesdays at 7:30 PM. Here the format may be similar to our Sabbath (Saturday) prayer worship sessions as above or it may feature discussions on Bible subjects, discussions on current events and their relationship to Biblical subjects. Sometimes we just meet to sing great songs and share testimonies from members and visitors of how God has been good, in the midst of life's disappointments or challenges.
What are the Pastor’s Sermon Style?
The sermons, delivered by our Senior Pastor Easton G. Marks and our Associate/Youth Pastor Gregory A. Carrol, are relevant, creative and challenging. Our pastors are energetic and passionate communicators of God’s Word. They teach the timeless truths of the Bible with clarity, humor and real-life application using the awesome words of the Bible. Their messages are biblical and relevant to today’s changing culture, but the message of the Gospel never changes. At Victory our pastors are committed to “verse-by-verse” expository preaching through books of the Bible and passages of Scripture. Please visit our online sermons archives to get a better feel for our pastor’s preaching and teaching.
During the morning services (Sabbath School and Divine Hour) we do take offerings. From time to time we also take special offerings for various needs such as a benevolent fund for our church family as well as those in our community having a need. Please so do not feel any pressured to give. As a first-time visitor to Victory Seventh-day Adventist Church, you are our guest. We don’t expect you to contribute in the offering unless you feel led to do so. Feel free to sit back and relax as the offering plate is passed.
How Far In Advance Should I Arrive?
Allow about 15 to 20 minutes so that you can arrive in time to park, refresh yourself and be ready to worship with us before the services start. Our ushers will still be pleased to assist you with seating if you were a delayed. Sabbath School last about an hour and half, Divine Worship service last around two hours, Bible Class and Wednesday Night Meetings are normally an hour, and our Adventist Youth Services are so dynamic and interesting that you will want to stay as long as it lasts.
What Should I Wear?
In case you are wondering, some people attend wearing business-casual attire, men in suits and ties, ladies in formal attire, as well as some people wearing casual attire. Our emphasis is that of giving God your best. If your best is a suit, come visit Him at our church, if your best is jeans and a T-Shirt attire, come visit Him at our church. But more important than any clothing is the fact that God sees our hearts and that’s what He cares about; it’s not about the style of clothing we choose.
